Big Walnut Youth Wrestling Club
Grade: 1st-6th
Sign Ups: Youth sign-ups will take place online at www.bwyso.com . We will close registration on November 20th.
Practice Times and Locations: Practice for all grades will begin Monday, November 18th in the middle school wrestling room (299 Hill St, Sunbury, OH 43074). This is the building on the visitor side of the football field.
Practices will run
1st-3rd grade boys: 6:30 PM- 7:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursdays
4th- 6th grade boys and ALL girls: 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM on Monday and Wednesdays
What to Wear: T-shirt, shorts, head gear and wrestling shoes.
Registration Fees: $135.00 for all age levels -registration includes t-shirt, coaching and 5 tournaments. We are offering a sibling discount, $115.00.
Tournaments: We are a part of the Hellickson League which consists of 5 tournaments. Tournaments are Sunday afternoons in January and the second Sunday in February at area high schools. The league/coaches match up wrestlers based on age, weight, gender and experience (girls will wrestle girls). Wrestlers will have 2-4 matches at each tournament. The final tournament in February is a championship tournament which will be a bracket tournament. all tournaments are optional and there will be sign ups for tournaments each week
Volunteer Coaches: We are looking for volunteer coaches to help with the running of each age group. If interested, please email Coach Renner at the address below.
