We are EXCITED to announce we have started our first BIG WALNUT LITTLE LEAGUE charter. This will create exciting opportunities for the players in our community to grow with each other as well as have an opportunity to selected to an All-Star team to compete in the Little League World Series Tournament.

The Spring Baseball/Softball season will begin in April and run through early July. Teams will have practices scheduled for one weeknight and Saturdays. Games will be scheduled on Saturdays in early May and we will add in weekday games in place of practices close to the time school is out.

In joining the Little League Community, this also comes with some rule updates and equipment regulations. Any bats to be used should be stamped with the USA stamp logo.

Divisions groups for spring season:

T-Ball: 4-5 year olds (Co-Ed)
Coach Pitch 5-6 year olds (Co-ed)
Minors Coach Pitch: 6-8 year olds
Minors Kid Pitch: 8-11 year olds
Majors: 9-12 year olds

Parents,

As we continue to work toward building our girls softball program, we have been looking for opportunities to partner with other community programs to enhance and enrich the experience for our girls program. We are excited to announce we have been in contact with the Westerville Youth Baseball and Softball League (WYBSL) and they are willing to partner with our organization for our 12U (5/6^th grade) and 14U (7/8^th grade) teams.

Games would be played at Hoff Park in Westerville, however, practices would still be held at one of our Big Walnut fields. Registration for fall softball is now open through July 30th.

This is a tremendous opportunity for our softball girls to continue to play together as a Big Walnut team and represent our community. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to myself or one of our board members.
