The Big Walnut Baseball Association is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization serving the local Big Walnut community. Our goal is to provide opportunities for young players to grow their skills and their knowledge of the great game of baseball. While not directly affiliated with the Big Walnut Local Schools programs, we work closely with Head Coach Jack Schone and the Eagles coaching staff to grow young players for participation at the local schools level.
LEAGUES
The BWBA provides leagues by grade level:
- T-Ball: Pre-k
- Coach Pitch: Kindergarten
- Coach Pitch: 1st & 2nd Grade
- Minors: 3rd & 4th Grade
- Majors: 5th & 6th grade
While exceptions can be made that allow players to play at higher levels, the BWBSA's preference is for players to play at their grade level with their peers. Players from surrounding areas are welcome - they do not need to be Big Walnut Residents.
BWBA also provides opportunities increased play and competition through 8U - 18U Travel Baseball programs. Tryouts for travel ball generally occur in July of the prior year.
SEASONS
The BWBSA Spring season runs from mid-April to the end of June. Eight to ten games are generally played each season culminating in a league tournament. We also offer a Fall season that runs from August through October.
LOCATION
BWBSA's four-field facilty is located behind Big Walnut Elementary School. As our program continues to grow, we have also obtained the usage of fields at General Rosecrans Elementary, Harrison Street Elementary, Prairie Run Elementary and the Conservation Club Field.
